7th thru 10th Grade
House update
-
The
ERBYB has some exciting news we want to share with you. For the
upcoming 2008/2009 season we are
planning to change to the 7th
– 9th grade level. We are going to
add
10th
grade, and group 7th
& 8th grades together and 9th
& 10th grades together. We are making this change to
offer the opportunity for our 10th grade young men that are not
on the high school team to continue to play
organized
basketball, and to
improve the player size and skill balance
across the top grade levels of the program.
We have heard from a
number of 7th
grade parents that it can be challenging and even intimidating for a 7th
grader to play against a 9th
grader; and from 9th grade parents and players that wish there
was an opportunity to
continue
playing. We feel that this change will
address both issues.
Of
course this change will be dependent on the number of players we
get
registered.
Our
goal is to have a minimum of 6 teams at
each
grade level. We feel that this certainly doable,
but
will need to wait until registration opens to determine
if we
can implement the change.
